Lamest thread i've seen in quite awhile

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I love how he tries to play it off as, "I'm protecting the buyer", when he is obviously only trying to make more money for himself.

Not to even touch the subject of games only being "investments", and him admitting that they are mediocre titles, which will probably gain little to no money on such investments.

He shoulda ebay'd em and been done with it.

I have never wanted to hit people with bats (Paranoia Agent style) so bad because of shit they do online. Buying cheap to resell is one thing but price fixing to uphold some "Collectors price" is just fucking shameful.

There is a lot of humor (once you get past the annoyance factor). Particularly this:

"Not the strongest of titles, but some have the potential to be good investments for down the road. There are multiples of each title."

-Crappy games.
-Haven't increased in value in 15-20 years.
-There are multiples!

This sounds like a GREAT retirement plan!

Not to mention how much a drop of liquid or 1mm tear could cost you, assuming they were good investments in the first place.

If making money is your goal, shitty sealed games is probably not the way to go.

I like the information about carts on NA, but pretty much any time I read a thread on the forum half the people come off as elitist assholes and people with rooms full of sealed stuff nobody will ever be able to enjoy properly. Sure I have a few sealed games I haven't opened, but I don't have piles of them like some there.

That thread sounds like diamond companies artificially creating scarcity by hoarding just so they can keep prices high. Just without the murder and militia. :|

I watched a Matt Damon movie a while back about price fixing but I can't remember the name of it. This made me think of that. I think he wants just to unload for a profit and make some one else do all the work. There is no way this could be a good deal if you could only sell a couple a month, it would take years to get your money back.

If I were a legendary collector, I would hold my sealed games ransom.

Each week, I will randomly choose one sealed game from my collection to sell. Only I will know which game I have selected. You can buy the mystery game though. If nobody buys it, then I will open it and break the seal, thus taking one more sealed game off the market. Pay me money or they all die.

If this keeps you from becoming an actual serial killer, I'm all for it! :P
