spider mans ok. batmans well...... I like manly super heroes, people that kill for no reason, someone who stand up for them selves, like robin, batmans side kick.
Re: New Amazing Spider-Man Trailer
Robin? Like the bird?
Pretty sure Batman never ever had a sidekicker. He's a punch face guy!

All he thinks is that he's flying through the air, and fighting odd people/mutants in costumes, which are hallucinogenic visions of normal bullies and problems he has.BurningDoom wrote:I have never smoked any weed THAT good.Forlorn Drifter wrote:Not too big of a spidey fan. I've always liked the idea that Spider Man was just on some huge drug trip, explaining why his squeeze was named Mary Jane...
I dunno though, not big on Spidey. More of an Iron Man/Batman/Jonah Hex guy. Not too big on super heroes.

I've been thinking about this movie, and I've realized something.
Even though I'm interested in checking it out, there's a small, nasty part of me that's hoping it will bomb.
Maybe if that happens, Sony will let go of the movie rights for the character.
I'd like to see Spidey being part of Marvel's movie universe that they've spent so much time building up these past few years.
Yeah I know, keep dreaming.

Exactly, like I said, I've never smoked any weed THAT good. Unless it's mixed with something else, weed doesn't make you hallucinate. That's hallucinogenics like shrooms and LSD.Forlorn Drifter wrote:All he thinks is that he's flying through the air, and fighting odd people/mutants in costumes, which are hallucinogenic visions of normal bullies and problems he has.BurningDoom wrote:I have never smoked any weed THAT good.Forlorn Drifter wrote:Not too big of a spidey fan. I keep wondering if they could somehow get around the red tape and bring tobey maguire into the avengers series, without calling him spiderman.CFFJR wrote:I've been thinking about this movie, and I've realized something.

Anyway, I have no idea when Sony's rights will lapse on spiderman, and even if the movie bombed, it'd be crazy to hand it back to marvel.

Tobey in an Avengers movie is highly unlikeable. Spider-Man, maybe.
Marvel now has Disney money backing them, and a reacquisition of the character could very well take place. But that also all depends in who writes the script, if everyone is available, of the part is accepted, etc.
As long as we don't get Avengers vs. X-Men (which so far reads like second grade fan fiction) I'm happy.
Re: New Amazing Spider-Man Trailer
As big as Disney is, Sony is still huge. I'm not sure what sort of cash it would take to get Sony to give up a cash cow like that. I mean, if the franchise fell so hard into the ground that Sony was willing to give it up, it would be in bad enough shape that Disney wouldn't want to spend the money to get it anyway. I mean, maybe they could come up with enough money to split the rights, so they could both use him, but I think spiderman's stuck with Sony until the contract expires (no idea when that is)Luke wrote:Jrecee wrote:

All good and valid points, but I quoted this one to remind myself to see when the rights contract expires.Jrecee wrote: I think spiderman's stuck with Sony until the contract expires (no idea when that is)
