Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
I was annoyed because I said I didn't want any of the stuff he was going to offer and that I was in a hurry. It was almost rush hour and I was trying to make it to a bar before happy hour ended, which I didn't by about 3 minutes (the amount of time he spent trying to push gamestop stuff on me.)
I just needed to vent about it. Putting in that striked out line made me laugh about it so I didn't care anymore since I got my system and didn't crash my car.

Yeah, you sound like someone that could use a drink.

Actually I was going to pick up some food to go. My girlfriend was sick and wanted Vietnamese soup and they happy hour soup is way better then the regular menu soup.

Question:
My local GS manager said that all covers and boxes for PS2 games under $5.00 are scrapped. Company policy.
Truth?

seems to vary. I've heard that is the case in some stores from members here. Yet, my locals have lots of them still, which I've been going around scooping up like a madman lately. I've grabbed 30-40 CIB PS2 games for a few bucks in the past month.Luke wrote:Question:

The Bad:
So I just discovered that I bought a bootleg Nintendo DS from GameStop, and that was like a year and a half ago. It was just brought to my attention recently. Not any Nintendo marking anywhere on the entire system.
The Good:
I went to GameStop to see if anything could be done. I completely expected them to tell me it's well past the return period and I'm out of luck. Instead I'm getting it replaced, with an Onyx model!

So...The bootleg consoles work exactly like the real ones? That's something.

I meant that the employees didn't check for obvious stuff like seeing if "Nintendo" is written on it or not.Valkyrie-Favor wrote:So...The bootleg consoles work exactly like the real ones? That's something.

Yeah, that's something too
Just thought it was strange you could play it for that long and never notice...or was it just sitting on the shelf? I know I admire by beautiful GBA SP all the time.
