References speak more of the lack of talent of the shows they appear on that about the quality of the thing they are referencing. Just a thought.

I never implied any of that. I just felt that the show's cultural significance was being severely downplayed.

Exactly what I was getting at, as well. It was being treated as if it had zero cultural impact.
