The removal of Time Units is making me, very, very wary of the XCOM remake. It seems they are going to force a "first move, then shoot" system and that doesn't look as cool or interesting as the old system that allowed you to duck out of cover, shoot and then get back in.

It's not that I don't like the idea, the problem is that this focus on "let's play as a squad" may very well turn XCOM into Fire Emblem and for Fire Emblem I already have Fire Emblem itself.

Thoughts?

PD: I love the Iron Man idea.

Interesting to think, I was driving to Luling today, to oddly find a NIIIICE 60's F100 rolling, with a convoy of TRIKES rolling around it. They were Banditos. I don't know how much they must have been hauling to cover it like that, but it was pretty nice. I'm pretty sure the trikes had some stuff packed on them, too, and I swear that one guy had a shotgun in his holster on his bike. I couldn't tell though.

Also, the guy in the truck pointed at the '78 I was in. He gave me a thumbs up.

I noticed that my ribs were more prominent than usual when I was looking in the mirror today... Apparently between work, decreased appetite and some severely messed-up sleep patterns I've lost about 15 pounds without even trying/realizing in the last few months. And I'm not exactly a hefty guy to begin with.

Also, Billy Hatcher got a PC/Mac release in Europe... (as did Cursed Mountain)

I decided to check out another Retro Game store. Mine is certainly more than sufficient, but hey, there's no hurt in hunting. Oh sweet Jesus where do I begin.

-The were selling Elemental Gimmick Gear with a manual that quite literally looked like crap for $28.

-I asked how much they'd buy my copy for (out of curiosity) and said that I'd have to bring it in, even after I said that it looked just like the one in the case but with a better quality manual.

-They also told me that there's a $45 transaction fee for selling games. Eeyup.

-Super Mario Kart (Player's Choice version nonetheless)- $30.

-Greatest Hits and black label versions of FF7 both being sold for $50.

-Disc-only games were being sold with only a 10% off discount

But what tops all of this? Spawn for the SNES, commonly seen as a shovelware game, for $8... and a label that was so torn up you couldn't tell what game it was.
