I'm optimistic. Was worried they'd try too much to be like 2 but they really seem to be pulling the stops out and going down a more action orientated sequel.

Watching batman begins again, you realize how much they amped up Batman's voice in The Dark Knight. The only time he truly 'growls' in begins is when he's intimidating criminals. Otherwise he just sort of sounds gruff like he did in Terminator. I can't say it bothers me like it bothers some people, but it was used a lot better in Begins.

I'm pretty sure the snow-filled scene with bane and batman fighting is going to be the climax, or at least near it. But who knows.

I enjoyed Batman Begins more, all the way around. Not to say Dark Knight was bad, it's fantastic, I just thought Begins was better.

Great as those both were, this is still the "classic" Batman to me:

As far as modern Batman goes though, there's still no beating animated Batman:

I almost feel like we don't need live action Batman movies

I don't know, the Nolan movies are such a different interpretation that I don't feel like they step on the toes of all the other great Batman stuff out there. I'd certainly rather have them than not have them.

Well I did say almost.

Begins was the superior film. The Joker was great, but the movie fell into the trap that the earlier sequels did. They focused on the villains instead of Batman, which is what made Begins awesome in the first place.

It seems like this movie will be back on Bruce again, and the fact that it supposedly ties things back to the first movie is a good sign.

I agree. It was superior until The Dark Knight was released.

I'm half kidding. What makes you think Begins was a better film? As far as plot, character development, premise, cast, direction/all the essentials of a good story on screen?

I'm not arguing, just wonder what sways your opinion.

I'll back you up on this. I think The Dark Knight was much better. The villains were better, Batman was more interesting and the story was deeper. Batman Begins actually had too much focus on Batman. We all know his origin story, all that time spent on it is just boring.

Besides, if anyone wants a Batman origin story, this was much better:

Also, the Joker alone makes The Dark Knight better. The best Batman movies ALWAYS have the Joker in them. It's like a cosmic rule or something. Examples to follow:

This rule also applies to video games:

Each one features Mr J in some capacity
