Okay yeah that looks really cool. The story looks like its taking cues from The Dark Knight Returns (much in the same way that Batman Begins took cues from Year One), which I definitely like. I noticed they also fixed up Bane's voice and it sounds like Batman's growl has been toned down a bit since TDK as well.

Everything seems to be in place for a great conclusion. Looking forward to it!

I dont mean to sound like an ass, but this trailer looks underwhelming to me. Im sure the flick will be great, but I just wasn't floored by this one like i was Begins and Knight. And I still hate the way Bane looks/sounds.

EDIT: I will admit that I thought Heath Ledger was a 'terrible choice' for Joker, but then I saw the movie.. and I was TOTALLY wrong. So maybe the same will happen with Bane.

The box office numbers are going to be interesting. You would think Rises would make more than Avengers, but Rises doesn't have the push that the Joker gave to TDK.

And expressing your opinion isn't being an ass. I've heard "underwhelming" a lot concerning the trailer. Plus, it seems like I've watched the football scene over and over, and there's really no need to spoil so much about the movie in this trailer. The series already has a following, and there is no need to spoil so much of the story.

If you take a look at the TDK trailer it's essentially :Joker, Batpod, explosion. Joker, Batpod, explosion. Rinse and repeat. The Rises trailer is strikingly different, although I've heard the same formula for TDK is repeated in Rises.

But I swear to the movie Gods that if the climax of Rises is the football sequence I will walk out of the theater.

Nolan knows what he's doing, and I would be very surprised if Rises doesn't pull in $450million (domestic). Could make more than $500million because the Avengers hype wil have died down, and opening at the tail end of the Summer movie season it won't have much competition.


I would say I expect it to be great, but again I stress that this is in Nolan's hands so you never know what to expect. Can't wait to see JGL. I'm looking more forward to seeing how his role plays out more than Banes.
