Recommended Android apps?

so this Google Play Music service seems intriguing to me. Basically you upload your own library of mp3's which can then be streamed to your Droid? Who uses it and can tell me all the goods and bads?

Does anyone know if there is a browser that won't redirect me to mobile versions of websites or if there is some kind of work around to it? It would be nice to use hulu on my phone but it knows I'm on a mobile device and won't load videos but it loads everything else.

Cyanide and Happiness - my favorite webcomic
Notepad - One of the many I tried, this is quick and easy.
PowerAmp - best music player I could find
QuickPic - best image viewer I could find.
Addons Detector - See where popup ads came from so you can remove/register the offending app.
Shazam - like the iphone one, it can identify what music's playing near you.
Smart SWF - Best offline flash interface I could find (I tried lots)

There are browsers that will do this ( change the user agent), but the problem is the version of flash. Search something like "xda mobile flash hulu hack" and se what up. I could look later when I'm on my computer.

This modified apk is probably easiest.

There's no way they can tell if any of it has been pirated or not, so go nuts! I know; I've been storing my pirated collection on there since the service started! As long as you have under 20,000 songs (more than likely, I'd say), you're golden. You can stream it to any device with a modern web browser, or through the Google Music app on your phone.

Another question: I imported a ton of CDs into iTunes and they are not mp3, does Google Music recognize those too?

Here's supported filetypes. I think Google will convert the aac to mp3.

I wish I'd found this earlier. The Firefox Mobile Add-on Phony set to "Firefox Desktop" mode fixes everything. Double-clicking on parts of a page zooms in and out effortlessly and most content flows well into your screen resolution while zoomed in or out to the portion you're viewing. Awesome.

oh I got the LG Optimus V. I've had cellphones since the late 90's, and never once signed up for a contract. I'm still grandfathered into the old Beyond Talk plan for Virgin Mobile. Which means I have an awesome Android phone and I pay $25/mo for 300 mins (way more than I use in a month -- I hate talking on the phone) and UNLIMITED text and data.

My LG Rumor Touch worked just fine -- but my iPod broke, so I figured instead of buying a new mp3 player and carry that around along with my phone I'd just upgrade my phone to a Droid, and let my wife have my Rumor since it was better than her current cell.

At any rate, not sure how much gaming I'd do on this as it's pretty much all touch-screen. Angry Birds is fine and all. But at the same time, something like Disgaea might work really well on such a format.

LG's software is horrendous. I rooted my Optimus and installed Cyanogenmod now it's much better.
