Good.
Not a fan of any team that would have Bertuzzi on their squad.
Avery is more sportsmanlike than Bertuzzi (or Weber at this point!).
edit1: Wow, I didn't think the Penguins would end up in such a hole. 7-4 now; Flyers just scored to start the 3rd period (right after scoring to end the 2nd!).
edit2: 8-4 now. Crazy. These Pens are pretty much done already. Unbelievable that it's going this way.
So, Torres sets indefinitely suspended for a bad hit on Hossa. Okay...
Weber on the Preds grabs a player's head and SLAMS it into the boards, WWE style. He gets a very modest fine considering his salary.
WTF?!?!?!?!? So, in order for a real punishment to be handed down, someone needs to be hurt? If there is not injury, then no problem?
Another example of inconsistency in the NHL's stupid disciplinary system.
Schenn returned in the game after getting mauled so things just seem inconsistent all around. I would wager that if Weber did that tonight, he'd get a 1 game suspension now. Things have kind of escalated.
I say the Broad of Discipline needs a change after the season ends, hopefully after the CBA gets ratify before the draft or Sept/12, I hate the inconsistency of punishment.
BOY, did anyone catch the Pens/Flyers game!?
I know the Pens are down 3-1, but if you are a Flyers fan, you gotta ask if Holmgren made the mistake of trading Richards and Carter (especially if the Kings do make it to the Final!) and signing Bryzgalov ($51mil / 9yrs), who talks BIG but NEVER delivers!

He traded Richards because of the Pronger/Richards issue apparently. They're from rival hometowns, so I guess it just carried over despite the age difference? I don't know what their deal was. Of course, in hindsight, it was not the best move.
I think this comment by someone over at NHL.com sums up the series nicely:
The goalie with the best GAA in the series is Bryz with a 4.96. Solid.

The Flyers needed cap space to sign Bryz to that long deal, which is not looking good - even before the regular season ended (an embarrassing loss to the Jets was a "low"light that should've reminded everyone!), plus the rumors of hard-partying in the locker room, which we will never know the truth behind those doors (haven't heard any problems with Carter in CBJ or Richards in LA)
And they are betting on JVR and Claude Giroux + Sean Couturier to carry them into the future, which looks reasonable at the moment; but I think Pronger is at the end of his career, especially with a concussion at this age, its the harsh reality, you cannot lean on old players to win champs for you.

I heard it was more a conflict of leadership/personalities than hard partying (although that might have been a contributing factor, I have no idea). Either way, they did need salary room and wanted to get rid of someone. They could not have predicted that Prongs would get hurt like that. If he didn't, he would have still been a very strong force for a few years at least. At any rate, I'm pretty sure he's sadly done (at least for the most part).
Well, Torres is a "famed" player, make no mistake, as a Wild fan I hate him more than Bertuzzi (but at the same level as a Jarko Ruutu!). But I do say the BoD needs to be re-examine after the playoffs and CBA ratification, there has to be a consistency throughout the league. And I do feel sorry for the Hawks for being short-handed, and they did hold on to win in OT, still I do NOT want to see players being taken out intentionally or "un"-intentionally.
It looks like the Preds are on the right track, while the Red Wings will need to the strength of their organization to go thru the rebuilding process (can the Oilers please show some signs of improvement instead of trying to get No.1 picks 5 years in row!). The Sharks are definitely one of the most disappointing teams for this season, as I thought Burns and Havlat were not the pieces that the Sharks needed (their trade IMO helped the Wild more with young prospects and team chemistry), the Blues have the right pieces to be a powerhouse in the West, with Kenny in the bench (the CBJ should've NEVER let him go easily).
Are the Sens are on the verge of an UPSET against the Blue Shirts!?
