Yes, or rather I read 1 - 3. They're quite good and I recommend them to anyone who likes to read about medieval-type politics. There's another fantasy series I read like that too (highly political), what was it...trying to remember.

How crazy is it watching the show? Its so damn spot on its nuts. I love seeing people's reactions that haven't read the books.
