Lol. Why dude? He's French. Geeky stuff is kind of cool in France. And imo it's a better way to connect with a young (or adult, since a lot of people in their 30s or maybe even 40s will get this reference) crowd, than trying to be "hip" and making a parody of something "very" modern, like CoD or something.
