I never understood the appeal of using a debit card. To me, it's a lose-lose situation for a consumer. Why not use the credit card for all purchases and pay the balance every month?

Plus, you can get money back in forms of points, gift cards, etc since most have rewards.

Yeah, because using money you actually have is a totally bad idea.

Note the bolded part in the quote. I pay off my balance every month. Have never paid interest in 20+ years.

There are a number of disadvantages with debit cards as compared to credit cards. Of course, if you're not financially savvy and carry a balance on your credit card, then yes, debit is the way to go. What puzzles me is why people can't be savvy with credit cards if they're able to do so with debit cards?

As an active MMJ patient, I think it's stupid to have a day dedicated to it as well, especially when the day supposedly comes from time of day California school system let out at some point.
