Awful search capabilities on this site?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Yes, I know that but it shouldn't have to be that way.
From a software standpoint yes it does have to be that way. The built in forum search directly hits the forum database, so it will always have the most complete results. Google search gets a cache of links to various posts on the forums, so it only updates when the spider does a crawl and refreshes the Google cache.

Yes, I understand that concept. I wasn't asking about a post made within the past 24 hours or past few days. The post that I was trying to find has the word "ceton" and was posted on March 23rd, almost a month ago.

EDIT: I also use the search capability of google at assemblergames.com, slickdeals.net, avsforums.com and they don't have the crappy index problem that racketboy.com has. There's something funky about this site.

I find search engines in general pretty crappy these days, whether it's google, youtube, or anything else. I wouldn't single out this site as just one, lone example.
