Exactly. It's unfair to people playing the level the first time. You don't stand a chance, regardless of skill.RyaNtheSlayA wrote: if you knew what you were doing.

I beat the first six levels of the supposedly near-impossible Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels before my first game over based on experience from the first game alone. Sonic R was two generations later, those stupid emeralds were a step backward. In fact, one of the reasons that I went retro was modern shooters dominating the market, and one of my major complaints with them is that multi's basically a competition of who can memorize the weapon spawn locations and times.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:...and this should be nothing new to you as a retro gamer.GameMasterGuy wrote:Exactly. Today's bit of vocabulary expansion is: Jack Mormon. A backslidden Mormon, sort of like a C&E Catholic. They consider themselves Mormon, but don't bother following the rules if they don't feel like it.
No kidding. I don't want to be able to have huge avatars, or super-long animated gifs that take 30 seconds to load, but even just increasing the limits by fifty percent would make so much difference.elmagicochrisg wrote:I tried several pictures myself, and the only one that worked was the one I have now. I completely agree; an 80x80 resolution just feels intentionally restrictive. I've heard it argued that it is for the benefit of people with slow connections, but given the site redesign a while back, the site now isn't friendly to those with slow internet speeds regardless of forum avatars.BoringSupreez wrote:Today's bit of vocabulary expansion is: Jack Mormon.
