Besides that, Shadow was so well-rounded statistically that he could fit into just about any situation. He's perhaps the only fighter that can actually contribute in the Fanatics Tower besides just serving as a meat shield.
I just go after the FT after my main four know Ultima, which I spam at everything.
Real men use Rasp.

You can always Osmose your MP back, so why bother?

No, I mean, use Rasp to clear the Fanatics Tower (with and Osmose here and there to refill your MP) rather than Ultima. Thanks to a quirk in FF6, when enemies run out of MP they die. That's how I beat the Magi Master; I got to him and realized I couldn't survive his Ultima death trigger so I Berserked him and proceeded to drain all his MP. I figured then I could kill him and not have to worry about the death trigger, so then I'd blast him down normally. But once I nuked the last of his MP he died.

I knew that, Ultima one hits multiple enemies at once though. Doesn't Rasp not have an Area of Effect version? As for the Magi Master, I just used Life 3. Life 3 is so broken, it's basically to FF6 as Reflect is to FF4; play the game without it to significantly rise the difficulty.

Hense why I said "Real men use Rasp." Ultima's the easy way out.

That's what I normally do; I just forgot I hadn't finished learning it yet. But that's really the only fight I've ever used Life 3 on. Everything else is easy enough without it if you know what you are doing. Hell, in my CES run I ended up facing the final form of Kefka alone with Setzer because the previous tier had used a hit all kill spell as a death counter and Setzer was the only one with a safety bit (Celes was Gem Box/Economizer, Edgar was Genji Glove Offering) and when you transition you lose anyone who's dead. So it was Quick spammed Pearl that took him down.

So basically, I can just stop playing right now, can't I?

Yeah, pretty much.

And the easiest way to kill the Magi Master is to equip your party with reflect rings, take Mog with the moogle charm, and use rasp and osmose. It takes a while, but there is no danger whatsoever.

Yeah, reflect works, I always went with berserk and the occasional heal.

There's a difference between breaking a game and taking the fun out of it. You can break it with attacking 16 times with one character in a turn and spam ultima, but the moogle charm makes the game so incredibly boring that I never used it.

True, but I only use it for this level. I figure, if the game wants to take away my most basic non-resource intensive ability, I have the option of retaliating by not allowing its hinderance to work.
