DO NOT PLAY THAT GAME

i made the mistake of buying it at play n trade for $2 because i thought it would be fun, its totally lame
That game kills Transworld. Its the only good 3d surfing game around. I highly recommend it. THere is a great version of it on GBA as well. California Games still has the best 8-bit surfing. There is Championship Surfing on DC, but fuck that game.

I think I'm getting T&C Surf Design on NES. As for a 3D surfing game, TransWorld Surf on Xbox was given an 8.8 by IGN while Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer was given an 8.9 and has better graphics. I've never played it and there seems to be a split decision on whether it sucks or not. If I ever see it for like 5 bucks at a thrift store or EB Games, I'll pick it up.

I actually just watched a review of it. They said the surfing parts suck cuz everything you do will get you killed but the skateboarding parts are fun.

I watched a surfing documentary last night and wondered if there have been any good surf games. Looking here today and based the comments, it sounds like the sport lacks a good game translation.
I actually tried one or two games on the PS2 long ago, but also found them awful. I returned them for a refund.
Have there been any successful or fun surfing levels in the more recent generation of systems? Maybe not a whole game, but even just part of the game?
Systems: Pong, Odyssey2, Atari 2600, NES, CDX, SNES, N64, Saturn, DC, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, GCN, Wii, Xbox360, OUYA
Handhelds: GB, GBC, GBA, DS lite, DSi, Virtual Boy (<< is that even a portable?)
EM Pinballs: Bally Dixieland, Gottlieb Flying Carpet
SS Pinball: GTB Circus, GTB Count-Down, GTB Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Stern Lectronamo, Stern Galaxy, Bally Black Pyramid
