I'd much rather Wii Speak with a MILF than try and talk with the 14 year olds I run into on Xbox Live or PSN.

Wii Friendcodes > Xbox Live?

Yeah, the whole not having voice chat never really bothered me. I've played Xbox Live with my friends, and then I play my Wii, and I've never once thought "Man, I wish I could listen to these kids cry hax every time they die like they do on Xbox Live."

The 360 and the PS3 have some great games, but the vast majority of the 360's good games are third party, and the PS3 lacks the quality that makes me love Nintendo and makes so many bash it - it's not serious from beginning to end of every damn game. I like realistic games as much as the next guy, but there comes a point when I want to do more than shoot people and see more than various shades of grey, brown, and dark green. I like blue, red, and yellow. They're pretty colors.

Anyway, I'm rambling. People hate Nintendo because they're creative, and most gamers are so embarrassed that if they even pretend for a minute that they like that sort of game that they'll be gay or childish, kind of like a guy who drives a jacked Hummer with the stereo WAY too loud because his penis is three inches long.

"Everone I talk to lately hate the wii and sold off their collection at some point. I can say I did not touch my wii since i got the 360 and ps3 and even though I did sell off my wii collection last year so I can fix my car,"

So... why did you sell your Wii instead of your 360 and PS3?

Anywho...

I've become a massive Wii fan and kind of enjoy its overlooked "real games for real gamers" aspect. I think it will be very interesting to see how the Wii and its first and third party exclusives are regarded in a decade.

The Wii has some good titles. It's definitely a better system than the N64 in my opinion. There are some really excellent titles, but, I can't say that I ever really have interest to get one again.

Orly?

I thought it was because they've been recycling the same games with new paint since around 1995.

How much new IP has Nintendo rolled out in the last 10 years?

The fact people still bash half-decade old consoles boggles me.

In the US? Pikmin (10.5 years), Wii-Theme (there's more than one here), Advance Wars, Battalion Wars, Fire Emblem, WarioWare, Mario & Donkey Kong, Mario & Luigi, Starfy, Golden Sun, and Trace Memory (Another Code), Elite Beat Agents ... the list goes on.

Some were just funded by Nintendo, but are owned by them. If you want to just count games purely developed by Nintendo first party (not second party) then it'd be unfair to knock them on their new properties also, because ... the other manufacturers have even less.

This is one area I think people knock Nintendo on that it's actually unwarranted. I agree that they need to bring out something new that is more traditional in a game sense ... but arguing that they are somehow putting out less original stuff in the last decade than other 1st party manufacturer's and developers doesn't make sense. Now, the last part was an assumption on my part ... just because the comment doesn't make any sense what-so-ever otherwise.

My point is compared to the competition (mainly talking Sony here) they don't put out nearly as much new IP as they will.

Also, Fire Emblem isn't a new IP. It's been around for quite a long while.
