Unless the cover is that of a rob schneider movie.
Win.

Really, any criticism of Rob Schneider is automatic win. He sucks so much. When we get old and nostalgic for the 2000's, Rob Schneider will be one of the things filtered out by our rose-colored glasses.

Rob Schneider's best movie is Judge Dredd, which is pretty unanimously recognized as being a total piece of crap.

Coincidentally, Judge Dredd is getting a new movie pretty soon.

Rob Schneider is doomed to only be remembered as the copy machine guy, and the "You can do it!" guy.

He was in two Stallone action movies!? I've never seen Judge Dredd, but I have seen Demolition Man, which Schneider was also in.

Good point. Time will tell. I think I was just put off by Colin Farrell being in the lead role. I bet it will have great fight scenes; the director had done enough Underworld movies, and isn't that what those movies are full of?

BurningDoom wrote:Wait, you're not okay with a Total Recall remake, but you are with a RoboCop remake? I don't get it. RoboCop was a helluva sci-fi movie, as well. If you have the "leave it alone if it was already great" mentality, then why not apply it to RoboCop? Yeah, the sequels stunk to high heaven, but the original is an 80s masterpiece.
When the news came out about a ROBOCOP remake, my knee-jerk reaction was "Oh god, why? Who is directing" When the answer was Aronofsky, I said "Oh, that could be very interesting". I think he would have taken it to a dark place, which works for ROBOCOP, but that's just my speculation. I am still a huge ROBOCOP fan (and a Verhoeven fan in general) and own 3 copies of it.

It looks good, but I thought it was an April Fool's joke.

The fast pacing 3D fits today's market; the convoluted plot also helps. I do feel a bit lost by the trailer though. I have a feeling the ending is going to be a "it was all a dream... or was it" loop.

Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

This remake looks beyond awful. Waste of time.
Did you seriously just praise Starship Troopers?

Maybe they just want to resolve that dream or not debate?

Nah, not going to happen.

And anyway, I say not dream.
