So I picked up Ultimate Card Games for the NDS
And I gotta say it's really great. I love the GBA release of it. I recommend everyone who likes card games like this to pick up UCG for either GBA or NDS. Also I recommend Club House Games for the NDS. It's a first party title and more polished but can be found for cheap as well.

I've been looking for that for the GBA, along with Ultimate Brain Games. I play those card games online a lot such as Canasta, Euchre, Spades, etc.casterofdreams wrote:And I gotta say it's really great. I love the GBA release of it. How are the game and score variations?
How is the computer AI? Are they good opponents and partners?
I love my Hoyle 2005 PC game for those reasons.

Im a big hold em guy so the gba version doesn't have it. The ai is good but nothing amazing to write home about. for the price though it isnt bad. I'm sorry but honestly I dont know what you mean by scoring.

Ok, I should have put in more of a general term.casterofdreams wrote:Im a big hold em guy so the gba version doesn't have it. The ai is good but nothing amazing to write home about. for the price though it isnt bad. I'm sorry but honestly I dont know what you mean by scoring.
Are there many ways to play a particular game? I mean, can you set up the game to the way you want to play? On the Hoyle 2005 game, you can select options like # of decks for Blackjack or what kind of Poker you want to do (5 card/7 card) and there's also different ways you can play Euchre ( to 5 or 10 pts ). Are there customizable game options for the games or you just select one and play whatever the game is?

No nothing where you can customize it how you want it. Just general options. How ever they designed the game to play is how it's going to play.

Ok. I know it's gonna be good, because they packed a LOT of games in that tiny cartridge. Will be on the look out for it, thanks!casterofdreams wrote:No nothing where you can customize it how you want it. Just general options. How ever they designed the game to play is how it's going to play.

Got UCG for the GBA today -- LOVE IT. Tons of traditional game variations, 15 types of solitaire, comprehensive play stats for each game, and also can save not only (4!) profiles and created characters but also any GAME IN PROGRESS to return to it later. That will come in handy. Relaxing music and an easy PC menu-driven interface and ways to change everything from the backgrounds to the rules and the card backs. Decent AI too from what I've seen.
Not bad for 99 cents

I'm happy that you picked it up. You should also check out Ultimate Brain Games.ExedExes wrote:Got UCG for the GBA today -- LOVE IT. -Chess
-Checkers
-Backgammon
-Dominoes
-Reversi
-Sink Ships (Battleship)
-Four-in-a-row (Connect Four)
-Shanghai (Mahjong solitaire)
I have both with me and a GBA Micro on extended trips. Can't get any better than that me thinks.
Re: So I picked up Ultimate Card Games for the NDS
I was considering that one too. If the interface and everything is the same there, that would be fantastic.casterofdreams wrote:I'm happy that you picked it up. You should also check out Ultimate Brain Games.
