I love a well done horror movie. I have a strong affinity for hokey horror and monster horror. I don't have that many movies under my belt though. I love the original Night of the Living Dead, From Dusk 'till Dawn, and various others. One problem I run into is too many horror films nowadays with rape and sexual horror. I don't like those. I don't get why people get into them either... revenge for rape isn't any better...

I'm going to mention exploitation films too. Sexploitation, canibaltation, naziploitation, and ones like that don't do it for me. They're boring or too weird for me. Carsploitation, on the other hand, I can't get enough of. DEATH PROOF is great, and I really wan't to paint the skull on the hood of whatever car I get.

Meh, I watched one horror movie a while back. It was pretty good, but there was a rape scene with a giant worm, and I couldn't watch it. Not that it horrified me, as much as I didn't want to see it.

I just can't stand the rape in movies though. Or any kind of sexual rape. Ruined The Devil's Rejects and other movies for me. Or any kind of child molesting. I just want to shoot the bastard.

Big horror fan here. I grew up on horror movies. Mostly the slasher, zombie, and gorefest movies of the 70s drive-in era and the 80s.

Some of my favorites:

-30 Days of Night
-Cloverfield
-Cube
-Dawn of the Dead (both original and remake are fantastic)
-Day of the Dead (the 80s one, not the terrible 2000s movie of the same name)
-Diary of the Dead
-Event Horizon
-Friday the 13th series
-From Dusk Till Dawn
-House of 1000 Corpses
-The Lost Boys
-The Monster Squad
-Night of the Demons (original)
-Night of the Living Dead (original is the better one, but the remake is good, too)
-A Nightmare on Elm Street series (except for the terrible remake, and #5 is pretty bad)
-Resident Evil (first one)
-Shaun of the Dead
-Tales From the Crypt Presents: Demon Knight
-Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original & remake)
-Wrong Turn

I'm an absolute horror fiend; so much so that I can't even begin to list my favorites, in fear of leaving some out, and/or spending a solid 3+ hours constructing a single post. I own over 500 DVDs, about 80% of them are horror-related. The same could be said about my (albeit smaller) VHS collection.

It all started when I was a kid, and would sneak off in the video store to check out all the creepy horror VHS cases they had displayed on the racks. I was enchanted, wondering what sort of horrific details each film contained.

Then I'd rent Monster In My Pocket on the NES for the zillionth time and play it sitting on my couch with my Big Frank figure sitting beside me.
