A new Free-to-Play Gundam game is coming to PSN in June!

The next Mobile Suit Gundam game for PlayStation 3 will be free. Famitsu announced Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation, which is being made by Gundam Memories developer B.B. Studio.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation is an online action game where you control Gundam in 6 on 6 battles...

Namco Bandai is planning for this title to be a deep game players can enjoy for a long time for free...

Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation will be released as a PlayStation Network download at the end of June. Between March 29 and 31, Gundam fans can register to be part of a closed beta

Oh man....if this plays anything like any of the Gundam vs. Gundam game, this is gonna be awesome! And June, that's gotta be perfect timing. It'll be coming out around the time school ends. Fingers crossed it'll be good.....

Edit- I just looked up screenshots, and from what I see, it'll be playing more like Gundam Crossfire, and it's Japan only sequel, Gundam Battlefield Record. This will almost definitely be awesome for Gundam fans.

Yea. It would be awesome to see them refresh and reboot the Battle Assualt series just like Capcom did with SF4.

This new game looks sweet tho, I hope they bring it to XBLA

Well don't forget about the second part of what you quoted, mentioning Senki 0081 (Battlefield Record). That game is very good, huge improvement over Crossfire.

I'll definitely be checking it out though. Gundam has been kicking all kinds of ass on PS3. I still haven't even played Extreme VS...
