Can't decide on which character I want to use. Been using Juri/Hwoarang (Team Taekwondo) and Raven/Ibuki (Team Ninja) lately.

What gems do you guys use?

Hate to say it - the sound being off did bug me - didn't think it would, but it did. Not unplayable, but does take away from the experience.

I have no idea what gems do yet.

no lag though, eh? Either they fixed it or connections make a big difference in this game.

No, the actual connect was good. It was still fun - i'm just seeing a game that is like an 85 right now (which is great) and could be a 99 (epic) w/sound.

Can't really compare them directly in contrast but they're both very good installments of their own FG subgenre. SFxT definitely offers more for the single player but the game can't touch the online experience SCV has to offer.

I can't recommend SFxT in any way, to be honest with you.

As a competitive player, the game is a broken mess. Kazuya has an glitch that grants him an infinite. Megaman has a glitch that makes him leave the fight entirely. Xiaoyu has an infinite - that is just one move in the corner over and over again. The obvious lack of testing, plus the unknown effect of future gems, has me very hesitant to jump into this game.

As a comsumer, I'm seeing almost a quarter of the characters in the game - and almost all of the characters I wanted at that - held back to be sold to us at a later date as DLC. Considering some of the characters, such as Blanka, Guy and Cody, were actually shown in promotional footage is even more a slap in the face of consumers. This, plus the obvious wallet pilfering that will take effect through gems, costumes, custom colors - even DLC combos - makes me hope this game ends up being a financial disaster for Capcom.

Make no mistake, if SFxT ends up bringing Capcom record profits - or even just more profit than MvC3 and SSF4 did - we're looking at a future of fighting games that is going to be dominated by pay2win. At the very least, all future Capcom games will support it. Once rival companies see that Capcom can get away with it, so will they.

SFxT's tag-line is very appropriate, because it truly has 'crossed the line'. If this is the future of fighting games, then I really do hope that the scene dies again. Gems could have been balanced, but Capcom has proven that they never had the intention of balancing them, what with some DLC gems being replicas of in-the-box gems, EXCEPT FOR REMOVING THEIR NEGATIVE EFFECTS.

This is ridiculous. This has NO PLACE in a competitive game. None. The only advantages you gain in combat should be gained through practice, understanding and diligence - not throwing cash at a company. We're standing at a precipice here, and we all have the ability to prevent this.

In short: Soul Calibur V, if you must choose between the two. Personally, I've actually been finding good connections on KOFXIII lately, so I've had no need to pick up the game that may very well be the ruin of the FGC.

SCV has very good online though, if you can't find local connections. I'd also recommend BlazBlueCSEX, as the BlazBlue games have traditionally had great netcode. There's plenty of options out there now.

I agree with almost everything the7k said for the first time ever :P

This game had potential. When I've played it though I just feel like I'm getting trolled. My favorite mode is the scrubtastic scramble. Just fun to see what can happen.
