THE HELP
I get it, but I don't get it. My movie streak hasn't gone the best lately.
The last few movies I've watched have been unbearable. Yes I just called two Academy Award winning movies unbearable (although the only award 1k words will get is a razzie).
However, I will be watching JEFF WHO LIVES AT HOME this afternoon, which stars Jason Segal, who is one of my favorite people in Hollywood. Ed Helms co-stars, but although he's always awesome on The Office, he's hit and miss in movies.
What was the last movie you've seen?

Live Free or Die Hard
...ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I couldn't even sit through more than 30 minutes of it. I was just cringing far too much.

I really enjoyed that one. I'm really looking forward to A Good Day to Die Hard, too.AppleQueso wrote:Live Free or Die Hard

I think it was just the Hollywood Hacker type bs. Call it a pet peeve or something.

Yeah, I totally get that, it bugs me sometimes too, other times I am able to look past it somehow. Firewall (movie) = horrible, Chuck (TV Show) = awesome!AppleQueso wrote:I think it was just the Hollywood Hacker type bs. Call it a pet peeve or something.

This confuses me. There's nothing NSFW there. Seriously, im not trying to goad anyone into listening to it at work. Its some weird conversation about "we thought who they were" or something. But there's no bear maulings there.OldSchool_Boy wrote:Extremely NSFWLuke wrote: And not to be morbid, but I do want to listen to the audio.

Snatch
I loved this movie's style. Almost like a live-action cartoon. Great soundtrack, and funny too. Seems to be a slightly obscure movie, as I've never heard of it until I was browsing the internet today, and decided to pick it up at the library.

Snatch was not obscure at all when it first came out. It had a huge kind of street level advertising campaign over here at least. Maybe USA wasn't really its target though. Have you seen "Lock Stock and two Smoking Barrels?". That the director's earlier film, similar style but even better.

Snatch was huge when it came out here, too. What a terrific movie. Guy Ritchie really has a unique style, and he really pulled off Sherlock Holmes, too.god wrote:Snatch was not obscure at all when it first came out.
