Finally! A couple real reasons to go current generation

Doesn't MGS4 have means of accessing old cut scenes whenever they reference one in the new game, like a button you can press to see the scene they're talking about? I thought Koijima was throwing that in so new people would know what was going on when they mentioned the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo.

yes, press triangle during certain sceens and you get a flash back, press it multiple times u get mutiple flashbacks.

You see brief blurry stills form old games. Serves more as a visual cue for people who have already played and need a refresher.

Woah geeze that's some fan rant going on here. >_<

It seems strange but I have a Wii and PS3 which I guess makes me a current generation player. It's strange because I rarely play my Wii (although there are plenty of interesting games on the system to keep me satisfied) and I just bought the PS3 the other week for MGS4. I think that at this stage it all comes down to preference, maybe in a year for most people I think current gen would be substantual.

Personally for me I could easily live off the current crop of modern console games but I could also do just as easily without. There are some PS3 and Wii games that I really wanted to play and my twin brother was keen to spend up so no big deal. I still primarily play older games but the new stuff I play is cool.
