Random Thoughts Thread
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Fuck it. After whining about how I wish I had one for the longest time (I'm sure some of yous might have noticed once or twice) I decided that I'll just build myself a vacuum forming machine. They're actually not that hard to construct, heating the plastic is the most challenging part. I don't know how soon I'll do it, but it's definitely one of my bull shit goals for this year.

I learned a new word today: Slacktivism. Used to describe people who get "outraged" online about injustices in the world, such as child soldiers in Africa. "Slack" is added to the word because they do and say nothing about it outside of their forums.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
A trip to Wal-Mart yielded the following observations: A thin, scruffy, tweaked out guy speeds by me in the parking lot and glares at me as he exits his rusty '90's era Taurus, and in less than one minute after we both entered the store roughly the same time he has already raced to the soda aisle, grabbed a 12 pack of Mt. Dew Code Black, and doubled back to the checkouts.
Then while placing bottled water in my cart I saw a woman in her 30's perusing alcoholic beverages with her daughter who looked to be no more than eleven, clearly asking the child her opinion on what to get. They settled on some kind of vodka based drink with colorful labeling.
And as I was checking out the associate made small talk with the gentleman ahead of me who apparently worked as an exterminator, then she babbled on about bedbugs all during my transaction, to the point that I had to awkwardly interrupt her with a "...well thanks, have a nice day!" in order to make a clean exit.

^^^ 30 minutes of watching people at Walmart can lead to some very interesting stories, IMO.

I don't care what people say about Walmart. I love shopping there. Doesn't matter what time, how I'm dressed, or what kind of odd situation I may be in.
Like that one time where I went to Walmart bleeding from a stomach wound and bout duct tape and soda while wearing a night outfit in fake chain mail at 10:30 at night and all the cashier had to say was that he liked the color of duct tape I picked.
I need to wear funny costumes more often...

I really want someone to make a platformer based on The Captain and Tennille.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

So my newspaper headline is "Romney struggles to put away Santorum."
Needless to say I spit coffee out from my nose. The picture of Romneys face was just to much.
