It's a small world after all

Post by Luke »

We lost someone really special today.

Robert Sherman of Disney Inc. died. You don't "know him", but you certainly know of his work. Now of course Robert had plenty of help from his brother and producers, but that doesn't take away anything from his work; genius he was.

Do yourself a favor. Google or youtube his work, sit back, relax, and enjoy his melodies. Fans of the animated Charlotte's Web will also be pleased.

Geez. I remember Charlotte's Web. The animated movie actually got me interested in reading the original book. And many books would follow. (Dude, the Sherman Brothers did the score of Little Nemo and Snoopy Come Home!)
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

This is really depressing news but thanks for bringing it to our attention, Luke. At least there's some comfort in knowing that his legacy will continue to touch lives through his works. Celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of the those who have passed is always a good way of honoring them.

He's still only "a dream away".

I have a soft spot in my heart for almost every Disney movie, and without the music, they wouldn't be the same.
