Questions about n64 accessories
Re: Questions about n64 accessories
Why? I have a Dreamcast and the battery on the VMU is dead, I thought i would use it
Re: Questions about n64 accessories
I don't bother changing the batteries in my VMU's. They die so quick, I don't see how it's worth it. I only use them as memory cards anyway. It would be like flushing those batteries down the toilet.

But... your poor, poor, nameless chaos 3:

And on that note, I was thinking about disconnecting the speakers in mine so I don't get that annoying beeeeeeep every time I turn the console on.

So the gambit screws are finally here. There is a problem. They are so tiny, they are hard to use or apply leverage on them. One screw on my N64 is like stuck and I got blue finger tips trying to unscrew it.
Are these screws supposed to be attached to another tool to form a complete screw driver?
-Is there a use for gambit screws other than Nintendo consoles?
-How can i deal with this stuff screw? currently its sitting in a small puddle of WD40, maybe it will ease it out.

You need a screwdriver handle!

A common handle that many different bits will fit. I don't thing it's easy to find the handle without a set of bits though. Go to your local hardware store, bring the security bits, tell them you need a screwdriver handle, they'll know what you're talking about.

I don't know whats a bit ,,
I made my own! I bought those philips screw drivers and it came with this handle. I just stuffed it with napkins and beat the gambits into it. With elbow grease it worked like a charm
I am not spending any more money. The gambits+5 CR batteris+analogue stick costed me something like $30. another $10 for shipping another $10 to buy this screw driver kit.

screwdriver bits are pretty common things, surprised you've never seen one before/don't have a screwdriver that'll take it already.
Hell you could even use an electric drill with it if you wanted.

I am not a handy man, I never used hardware before. Other than breaking old electronics to see inside them as a kid, I dont think I disassembled anything before. Infact , I think this is the first time I fix or install something. So thats why, I got no background
