I recently purchased a 27" iMac straight from apple.com, so I'm assuming it's the newest model. I know you can hook up PS3's and xbox 360's to an iMac using a Belkin doo-hickey or one of those Kanex XD's, but not an older console such as the Genesis. Are there any cables or boxes that can be used to hook up a Sega Genesis to an iMac?
Thanks!
ps: I know emulation exists, I just dislike it. I'd rather be using the console.

You crack me up. Anyway, I´m sure it's somehow possible. Just find out what connectors/resolutions your imac accepts and get an adapter for it.
There are also RGB Scart cables for the genesis which output pure RGB. I´d try to find something like a RGB Scart to HDMI adapter (assuming your imac accepts HDMI)
You might just be the first one to try this so when I read the title of the thread I was like, dude WTF

Haha, well alright. If I figure something out, I'll share. Thanks though!
