yeah I would prefer 100x100. I have a bunch of 100x100 avatars on my hard drive, mainly because I use Livejournal (don't hate) and that's the size of avatars over there.

The avatars don't bug me, but the 6 inch margins of dead space on both sides of the screen do. I understand that not everyone (inexplicably) has a 1080p screen, but why don't forums just scale to accommodate those of us who do?

Avatars are close to meaningless. It's the content you post that should matter, not how big your avatar is.

So is that a cat wearing a japanimation mask, or a japanimation character wearing a cat suit?

Its a kid in a cat kigurumi pajama set from some show that Popo fell in love with some time ago. Before that he was a zoomer from metroid

Correct. It's from Hanamaru Kindergarten. Though I think I'm going to change it to a slightly different animated gif from that show when I get home tonight.
