My personal favorite Zelda, I wish there could have been more 2D ones like this.
Their were more like this but they were on the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance.
Yeah I know, I loved both Oracle's and Minish Cap. Man I need to get those again. An since it hasn't officially been stated yet...

20. Chrono Trigger

Thanks, I like shedding a light on a game that may be overlooked. It was a fun little platformer that I enjoyed and I used to watch that show back then so it gave the game some charm for me. I have to say that reading everyone's comments is definitely making this thread more interesting. Here's another pick:

While the SNES can't claim to have the definitive port of the classic, original Final Fight, it did pump out the best entry in the series with Final Fight 3. It has more moves. It has nonlinear level progression. It has special moves and super attacks right out of Street Fighter II's playbook. It finally gave your characters the ability to run, which brought running attacks to Final Fight's gameplay formula. It had a pretty novel (for the time) feature in that you could play the game solo with the option of a computer controlled player 2. Getting your AI partner to the end of the game without it losing all of its lives was an interesting challenge

When people bring up the Final Fight versus Streets or Rage debate, this is really the only entry in the FF series that can hope to compete with SOR 2 and 3. Not one of Capcom's best beat'em ups, but it's pretty solid and ended the FF series on a high note(if you don't count its 3D iterations). I think this and Mega Man X 3 were among Capcom's final games for the SNES. I think they were advertised that way too

Yes, that is my personal 100% complete title screen. One of the few games that I can 100% and want to replay again almost immediately. One of the best games on the Super NES and probably the best platformer ever made. Seriously. I cringe when I hear people throw around the word "flawless" for most games, but it truly applies here. Awesome music and graphics. Everything just fits the theme of the game. Unique and challenging gameplay that has no cheapness or trickery. You can 100% the game without having to resort to walkthroughs or guides, but it still requires skill. You never feel like the game is working against you or wasting your time. Every failure is due to your own fault, not the game.

I'm liking this thread too!

Here's a game that CFFJR will agree with me on! :D

Its Ranma 1/2 Chougi Ranbu Hen for super famicom!

Its a 2D fighting game in the vein of Street fighter/Fatal Fury.

When I was a little kid I played its us predecessor (Hard Battle) at a kiosk and I fell in love with it. I've been searching for this game for a while. And by pure luck I found Chougi at a fleamarket.

This game is waaayyy better! Hard battle had its quirks, but it could use some improvement in its controls, (make it or break it when it comes to fighting games). This game is easily playable with quarter circles and blocks and the such. It even has an early form of tag battles!

This game almost came out in the US too! I'll bet it would have been a popular alternative to the more mainstream fighters that came out for the super.

This game is an awesome addition to anyones snes collection!

Check this guy's review out. He has done the best review of the game I've ever seen. And yes, that includes the gametrailers retrospective.

Ha, right on! I was planning to mention Super Battle next!

Here's the cover art for anyone curious:

Its true that the game almost came out in the States. Apparently it was this close too, since they even ran ads for it. Sorry for the rather large image, but I think its cool.

As Street Fighter clones go (and that's certainly what it is) its a fantastic game. My one and only complaint is how slow it is. Despite that, its fun as hell and very pretty to look at. Plus you can play as Herb. And Herb is fucking awesome.

Speaking of that, its a damn shame they didn't make just one more Ranma fighter. Between the games made, they had all of the bigger opponents and villains from the series. Taro, Herb, Ryu Kumon, and Rouge/Asura, but they never made it to Saffron. Saffron would have been amazing.

Sorry, fanboy talking. Ignore me.

I agree with you! *Fanboy fist bump*

I burned the PS1 ranma fighter, and I really dont feel for it. 2D is way better!

There are so many crazy characters in this series that a fighter is a perfect fit.

Oh well we can only dream.

I really need to play this game, so I can enjoy reading about it without spoiling things for myself. I bought it at release and got to the point where I fought a train and quit. I didn't like how the party was constantly changing and splitting up. I felt no attachment to any of the characters.

That was almost 20 years ago. It will be interesting to see how I feel now. I am deep into Final Fantasy II at the moment (a favourite of my youth that I did originally play through several times), but will be inserting Final Fantasy III within moments after watching the FF2 end credits.
