What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
I'm not putting away my Mario/Zelda bedsheets for anybody, you got a problem with them, you got a problem with me. haha

Leave 'em. Why hide your interests? They are part of your personality. Better to be up front about who you are, what you like, and how you roll.ninjainspandex wrote:girl from college just told me on facebook just admitted to having a huge crush on me and is now going to come and visit me all the way from boston to milwaukee, guess i better put away the pokemon bedsheets and take down the zelda and metroid posters
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Come on guys? Seriously? Yes, people should be themselves, but you got to get a feel for how comfortable you can be around someone first before you let them see your pokemon bedsheets. Not the sort of thing that really screams maturity. How well do you know her? If you know her well enough to know that she's cool with that than go for it. I sure as hell wouldn't do something like that unless I was super comfortable with that personFlake wrote:Leave 'em. Why hide your interests? They are part of your personality. Have to say though, that's one heck of a crush for someone to come from Boston to Milwaukee to see you. Good on you my friend

Yes, hide your real interests until you're sure she's cool with it, sound advice

There's a balance: you don't need to hide your interests but also shouldn't rub someone else's face in them, especially if you're not entirely sure what her interests are.
