Screenshots on a PSP?
Screenshots on a PSP?
I have a PSP 3000 with Pro CFW and official firmware 6.60. I've tried searching around sites like GBAtemp and Wololo, but can't find a firm solution. Is there a way to take screenshots on my PSP? Preferably one that allows me to customize the screenshot macro. All the info I could find seems pretty outdated, so I have no idea if any of the files floating around will work on my PSP or not.

Re: Screenshots on a PSP?
check psp-hacks.com ?
I know there are plugins for this, but I've never used them myself. I've only taken shots built into emulators on PSP. If you figure it out, let me know as I've been meaning to set this up too.

Re: Screenshots on a PSP?
The whole point of this thread was so I didn't have to do the work myself! But I have traveled far and wide, and I return bearing: The Gift of Screenshot.
This short guide is assuming that you, like me, are completely new to this. The instructions are slightly different for a PSP Go, but this should work for every other model running 6.60 Pro-B10
1. Download PRXshot from this thread
2. Create a folder called "seplugin" in the root of your memory stick. Extract the "prxshot" folder here. (You can delete "prxshot++.prx" from this folder.)
3. Create two text files titled "game.txt" and "VSH.txt." Insert a line reading "ms0:/seplugins/prxshot/prxshot.prx 1" (without the quotation marks) into both.
4. On your PSP, access your Recovery Menu (hit "Select" on the XMB) and go down to "Plugins." Ensure that "prxshot.prx [VSH] and prxshot.prx [GAME] are ENABLED. If not, try using the "Reset VSH" option from the previous menu (this will reboot your PSP) and check again.

5. Play Wipeout!

The screenshots are saved in .bmp format, and automatically categorized by game under "Photo." You can find them under PSP/SCREENSHOT from your file browser.

You can customize the screenshot button using prxshot.ini, but I found the default music note key works best. You can also customize the macro on a per-game basis, and set a delay timer on the screenshot. As far as I can tell, this plugin does not work for PSOne Classics.

ah, yes. But now you've given something back to the community.sabrage wrote:The whole point of this thread was so I didn't have to do the work myself!
You complete us. You had us at "whole."
Re: Screenshots on a PSP?
I said "every other model" but I have no idea if this works on the E1000. In fact, I don't know anything at all about the E1000.
