Sega CD Model 2 not powering on?

Post by Mephikun »

So, I got a Genesis (mk1) + Sega CD (mk2) and a few games yesterday. I detached the Genesis from the Sega CD, cleaned them both up, hooked the (right one, I checked) DC adapter into the Sega CD, flipped the switch on my Genny... nothing. No light, no nothing. Plugged it into my Genny. I put in my Animianiacs cart, it booted right up.

I'm not sure what to do :(

Any help is appreciated,

Just curious, did you test it before you took it all apart?

Nope. I didn't take the stuff apart either, I just slid the genny out.

You are using 2 packs when using both, right? If so, the fuse in the SCD could be popped and need replacement.

That cannot work. Both the Sega CD and Genesis must receive adequate power.

if u get another power adaptor and it still won't work, a blown pico fuse is usually the cause.
