Yoshi's Cookie. I initially hated Tetris as a child but absolutely loved Yoshi's puzzle game.

Bomberman (various)

Seconded. Wario Blast was my first GB game and I was obsessed.

Some lesser mentioned puzzlers. Flipull and Soukoban. Used to play it a lot on the gameboy.

Why not try Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite!


It's a good GBC game and I think your daughter might like this game quite a bit as it's very simple game to play. Also, it have hamster and most young kids love those animal.

Edit: Ahh...you want puzzle game....hmm.....Pokemon Puzzle Challenge is the only thing coming out from my mind right now.
