Sin and Punishment says it has an update but already 4.3

So I bought Sin and Punishment today for Wii and put it in my soft modded system and when it loads the disk channel shows Wii System Update instead of the game. I've been on 4.3 for a long time now so I don't understand what it would have to update but I took it out and did nothing to be safe. Any ideas?

I used prii-loader, it has an option to block all updates, prii-loader is a MUST when soft-modding, install it if you still can!

Im also using 4.3u, and it does work! i used the LetterBomb method of soft-modding.

Yeah I'm already softmodded and used the letter bomb method as well.

I was looking at priiloader, and that may be the way to go. It is just weird that the game talks about the system update at all, there is nothing for it to update. Hmmm

It's probably detecting that some IOS is not up to date.

I think you're right since I changed a few cIOS. I just scrubbed the game to my Hard Drive...loaded fine.

Yeah but if you use prii-loader you can load it from the disc channel instead of having to go into the homebrew channel, then selecting your loader

i had the same problem around xmas. tho it was an update from online. i had updates blocked so i declined. then my wii broke...

Loading from a hard drive is actually better. Its pretty easy to set up an app have its own channel, cutting out the homebrew channel step. And since its loading off a harddrive you don't have to have the disc in the machine, load times are faster, and you can load any of your games without getting off your couch.

I just wasn't sure how it would react scrubbed with the update it didn't really need haha. But if that solves the issue, it is much better. I load all my games from a HDD now anyway and have a forwarder on my main menu so its not any extra work to boot the game (not that it was that difficult to begin with).

A Priiloader isn't a bad idea or anything though

Im pretty sure the rip (or scrubbing if you wanna call it that, but Im pretty sure all major wii game ripping apps automatically scrubb for you) doesn't grab the update data. Even if it did, there should be an option in the menus to run in region free modes that skip said update checks.
