It's been in pre-production for a while. There was Friday, Next Friday, and Friday after Next, and I think that's all of them so far. But yup, LAST FRIDAY is supposed to bring Chris Tucker's crack smoking ass back to the big screen. I've been trying to get my hands on the script, but to no avail.
I have NO idea what to expect (other than a lot of FRIDAY quotes being rehashed) but I'm hoping it's not Cube and Tucker doing the sos. I also don't want to see Cube being a Father who has a kid "just like he was" and sees his kid dealing with the same problems he had, but I could definitely see that being the angle the studio takes.
FRIDAY has such an awful pace, but did have a significant influence on pop culture. The only thing NEXT FRIDAY did was prove that Casper from KIDS hadn't killed himself. Not sure if more than 10,000 people ever even watched FRIDAY AFTER NEXT. But in this crazy "We'll REBOOT EVERYTHING!" town that is Hollywood, who knows what LAST FRIDAY will entail (well, except an appearance from DJ Pooh).
