I'll be getting that chip from you once i get a new console. I'm gonna put out an ad on a local bulletin and I think I'll get a good deal. Most of the people who check it aren't into gaming at all so you can get real steals there sometimes.

Wow, one would think it would be cheaper and easier to just get PICs instead of an SMD part soldered to an adaptor board. I guess the SMD parts are made in vastly greater quantities than through hole components now, and chinese assembly is dirt cheap. Incredible.

They cost a little more. but with this chip it's a lot easier to glue in place and solder to the pads.
