When the GCN was at its height I was in high school, had my first job, and bought way more games than I had time for because I could and because I always waited for them to drop in price or end up on Sears/Kmart clearance for $10. Now, I want to get rid of more than half of them but keep the games that have some collectors' value or are particularly good/interesting.
Generally, I want to keep RPGs and some of the good/obscure stuff. I was writing for a Gamecube site at the time too, which is part of why I had nearly 50 GCN games at one point.
Here's what I still have:
Amazing Island
Animal Crossing
Baten Kaitos
Baten Kaitos Origins
Battalion Wars
Cubivore
Donkey Konga w/ bongos
Eternal Darkness
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
F-Zero GX
Legend of Zelda: Collectors Editon
LOZ: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest
LOZ: the Wind Waker
Luigi's Mansion
Mario Kart Double Dash
Mario Power Tennis
Mario Superstar Baseball
Metal Arms
Metal Gear Solid: the Twin Snakes
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2 (Still sealed)
Paper Mario 2
Pikmin
Pikmin 2 (bought it for $10 but have hardly played it)
Resident Evil 4
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Sonic Heroes
Space Raiders
Star Fox Adventures
Star Fox Assault
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Monkey Ball
Super Smash Bros Melee
Tales of Symphonia
Tony Hawk's Underground 2
Viewtiful Joe
Viewtiful Joe 2
I bought almost all of them new and was collecting Sega stuff at the time, so I was conscious of keeping them well. Nothing on this list is off limits if someone on this forum wants to work out a deal, but mostly I'm looking for advice on what you'd keep/let go and how to strategize to get an acceptable return on the rest (I'm not looking for a lot; I already traded some GCN titles for some Dreamcast stuff I thought I'd be more likely to play).
Right now I'm thinking about ebaying the stuff I don't want in lots of 4 or something.

Personally, I'd want to keep everything except...
Amazing Island
Donkey Konga
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Metal Arms
Sonic Heroes
Space Raiders
Tony Hawk's Underground 2

I'd be interested in taking Paper Mario off your hands.

The issue is I don't entirely know what I have in terms of what's collectible outside of Cubivore, Zelda, and especially Pikmin 2. I'm never going to play Mario Tennis over Virtua Tennis, and I didn't like Battalion Wars or the Metroid Prime games very well to begin with. I'm cool with keeping RPGs because I'll play an older one before I'll go out and buy a new one.
I'm no longer interested in owning a lot of games I'll never play. I want to get this down to about 15 games unless the consensus is that the market will really improve on too many of these games over the next few years.

I personally would keep:
Baten Kaitos
Baten Kaitos Origins
Eternal Darkness
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
F-Zero GX
Mario Kart Double Dash
Pikmin
Pikmin 2 (bought it for $10 but have hardly played it)
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Sonic Heroes
Star Fox Adventures
Star Fox Assault
Super Smash Bros Melee
Tales of Symphonia
Viewtiful Joe
Viewtiful Joe 2
(Actually, I'd keep Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2, but because I enjoy them.)

Please let me know if you wanna sell off Eternal Darkness or either Starfox game.
(I have +16 feedback on the B/S/T here, and here's my eBay profile: http://myworld.ebay.com/buffysummers2 )

Re: Help me sort out my GameCube collection, and maybe remin
Approximately what I would pick:
Donkey Konga w/ bongos
F-Zero GX
LOZ: the Wind Waker
Luigi's Mansion
Mario Kart Double Dash
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2
Paper Mario 2
Pikmin
Pikmin 2
Resident Evil 4
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Smash Bros Melee
Tales of Symphonia
You'll have the best idea of what's good for you (like if you really don't like the Metroid Primes it wouldn't make sense for them to be on here). I personally like the titles in your collection enough that I wouldn't be able to cut it down to 15 without taking out games that I like, but it is what it is.

Just my opinions, take them as you will.
Amazing Island Go
Animal Crossing Keep
Baten Kaitos Keep
Baten Kaitos Origins Keep
Battalion Wars Go
Cubivore Keep
Donkey Konga w/ bongos Keep
Eternal Darkness Keep
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Go
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Keep
F-Zero GX Keep
Legend of Zelda: Collectors Editon Keep
LOZ: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest Keep
LOZ: the Wind Waker Keep
Luigi's Mansion Keep
Mario Kart Double Dash Depends. If you have and like the Wii version better than you could sell it. But some prefer this to the new one. Matter of preference.
Mario Power Tennis Go, but then I've never been fond of the sports games.
Mario Superstar Baseball See above
Metal Arms Go
Metal Gear Solid: the Twin Snakes Keep
Metroid Prime Keep
Metroid Prime 2 (Still sealed) Keep
Paper Mario 2 Keep
Pikmin Keep
Pikmin 2 (bought it for $10 but have hardly played it) Same.
Keep
Resident Evil 4 Again, depends on preference. Some prefer the Wii version, but then I don't know if you even have a Wii.
Skies of Arcadia Legends Keep
Sonic Heroes Go
Space Raiders Go
Star Fox Adventures Keep
Star Fox Assault Keep
Super Mario Sunshine Keep
Super Monkey Ball Keep
Super Smash Bros Melee Keep
Tales of Symphonia Keep
Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Go
Viewtiful Joe Keep
Viewtiful Joe 2 Keep
You actually have a very nice assortment there. Again, this is just what I'd do if it were my collection. But, hey, if you didn't like the Metroid games, then by all means feel free to sell them. No point keeping if you didn't enjoy them.
