Re: Megaupload Dead
So how about that Megaupload?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: Megaupload Dead
All of those except the first were in response to insults. You saying my views were comedy, then hatta insulted intelligence out of nowhere and unprovoked. The first comment was in response of your argument that piracy is good or justified.elmagicochrisg wrote:Ignorance is bliss.Jmustang1968 wrote:My question is more of how was I actually trolling there, which I wasnt...

When someone calls me stupid outright for my stance on the matter, they are being a troll. It is called context, funny how you only quoted the responses.

I will actually take the high road and apologize for any insults, they were either unintentional or in response to perceived insults. Not sure how this topic can really instigate anger that much.

Did you even bother checking those out, of do you prefer to ignore things that do not suit your way of thinking?...elmagicochrisg wrote:Just google 'free downloads do not hurt sales'...
Just a small quote out of all those links:
Well, I'll be damned if that's not what I have been telling all along...For example, if a person is downloading music then they have stopped buying it, but research done by Harvard Business School professor Felix Oberhozer-Gee and his co-author, Koleman Strumpf, of the University of North Carolina have produced findings that illegal music downloads do not hurt the sale of CDs. In fact, in some cases it may increase the sale of certain genres of music. This idea is believed to be because most file sharing is done over peer-to-peer networks by teens and college students, groups that have lots of time but little money, meaning it is unlikely they would ever buy what they pirated. The two researchers also believe there is another group. They call this group the samplers. Samplers download one or two songs; if they like what they hear they go out and purchase the music legally.
I think that's debatable...Jmustang1968 wrote:I will actually take the high road and apologize for any insults, they were either unintentional or in response to perceived insults.
