I'm trying to find a good lighting accessory for gameboy color. Namely, something that would be good for an aircraft ride across the Atlantic.
Found these two:
seems good, but reports say that it doesn't bend very well. I figure I'd have to jerry-rig a paperclip to it to get it to bend properly.

Looks completely obscure, but it doesn't need to be bent to get the light on the screen accessory packs. Which I would be cool with, but I figure would completely suck with a game like Kirby's Tilt N Tumble.
Anyone have nay experience with these products? any suggestions?
I have also seen a lot of light + magnifying glass

Yeah get an SP lol. They're not that expensive now and they have a rechargeable battery.

Another vote for the GBA SP, the brighter 101 model. It can be bought cheap and easier to fit in the pocket without the additional attachments.

But he already has a Gameboy.
Why not try something like this? There's not a whole lot of light accessories for Game Boy Color.
Alternatively, you could look into modding a backlight in; a couple sites that sell them are Kitsch-Bent, djtransformer and Nonfinite Electronics.

I already have a Game Boy as well, actually I have two. They're fine for the collection but at the end of the day playing GB and GBC games on the SP is just so much easier. Same button layout as well so it's not like it's anything dramatically different.

Re: Gameboy Light Accessory
I have a 7½" handspan. I find the SP incredibly uncomfortable, and the games sticking out the bottom is not only unwieldly, it's a bit worrisome. That's just my preference; the man clearly wants a light for his Gameboy, not a whole new Gameboy.BRIK wrote:I already have a Game Boy as well, actually I have two. I recommend the Performance LightSaver. Adds a nice clam shell design to the GBC and the light works perfect - spent hours with it during my playthru of Link's Awakening.

That light source looks like it could give off an annoying reflection.
