I used to dislike what?!
The opposite of the I used to like what?! thread. What are some things that you can't believe you used to not like? I used to dislike steak and anything by Radiohead that wasn't Creep.

Re: I used to dislike what?!
I used to dislike anime (and manga)! Well, maybe dislike is too strong of a word... but it took me while to give it a chance because I assumed it was going to be just like western animation (which I still dislike, for the record).
I used to dislike all things Sega. Of course, this was back during the 90s "console wars" where you had to choose sides. I chose Nintendo. Never owned a Genesis until I was 26/27 or so. I love it, of course.
As far as food goes, I used to hate unsweetened iced tea and coleslaw but now I love them both haha.

I used to not be crazy about Sega as well. But it had nothing to do with the "console wars" or whatever (because back then I probably didn't even know what Sega was). But when I first started really playing and buying games, all I really knew was Nintendo, keep in mind this was only a couple of years ago, I played to play, not because it was necessarily a hobby and I sure as hell didn't know anything about anything. But anways, my girlfriend and I went to a game store and she saw a model 2 sega genesis that she wanted, I think she only wanted it because it was $20 and had sonic with it. lol But somehow or another I had this idea in my mind that Sega sucks. I eventually came around though, not sure why, just wanted to try something different I guess.

Look at my console pedigree. If it weren't for NAOMI and perfect arcade ports, plus all the kickass exclusives, I'd not be crossing over to Sega. I was flying the flag of Nintendo forever.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I used to dislike all things Sega. Of course, this was back during the 90s "console wars" where you had to choose sides. I chose Nintendo. Re: I used to dislike what?!
I used to dislike Nintendo quite a bit but I've warmed up to them a bit over the past few years. The only thing that really irks me about them is that unlike (Sega in the 90s) and some other developers, they're much more into franchising than creating new and fresh experiences.
I also used to dislike sushi, electronic music, and 60s music.
All 3 are in currently my favorite things in life.
Speaking of music. Ronald Jenkees is awesome:
