CDX with official wireless controller and no extension cable

Post by deathsled »

it totally works without extension cables, but you can only use one controller at a time (and have to set it to #2)

A lot of people say it won't fit or you have to have extension cables. I just wanted to show it was possible since I don't think I've seen anyone else do it.

then you DIDN'T do something like this lol, since the whole point was to illustrate how you don't need extension cables to get the receiver to fit on a CDX

Everyone already knows and already tells everybody that you need to use a controller extension cable since the receiver won't fit on the front of the CDX. It's sort of true because clearly you can't get both plugs on at once, but a lot of people probably don't realize that if you only need 1 controller then you don't have to buy anything extra.

it's not a dumb fix if you're only playing single player games

and it's not even a fix. it's simply showing you can make them work together and that it's not impossible.

It seems to be the CDX's lot in life that stuff worked-ish but just didn't quite fit in it properly (32x).

If you have an awesome CDX, why would you want to spoil it with a 32x?

because...there's still some 32x games I wanna play? O_o unless the cdx can play 32x games and no one ever told me

EDIT: and if you're talking about the risk of frying the CDX doing it, while I am aware of the official warning, I looked around online before I connected them and as far as I can tell there is zero evidence supporting that this can happen
