I have heard good things about the downloadable games for the 3DS. I will probably link mine up to the internet soon.swiftzx wrote: Wayforward's Mighty series

I bought it since released and i have no regrets, i knew what i was getting myself into and that is a whole lot of classic retro goodness with a mix of awesome new 3d games.
Just like everyone here i have alot of games on my 3ds and the ones that play most have to be
3- mario kart gba
2- dr mario
1- zen pinball ( I managed to rank #1 for local stats in all 4 machines )
PS: Considering that i will be downloading more games/demos later on ... what is the max gig will the 3DS accept?

Check the size of the SD card in your 3DS.AznKhmerBoi wrote:I bought it since released and i have no regrets, i knew what i was getting myself into and that is a whole lot of classic retro goodness with a mix of awesome new 3d games.

The biggest SD card it will accept is 32GB.

I totally agree with this, and not just for the older Game Boy games, but think of the multitude of classic-style titles being released nowadays.
I just beat Shantae Risky's Revenge. Totally awesome metroid-vania exploration type game. Both the innovative gameplay and art direction were very well done. Sidescroller/Platformer fans owe it to themselves to get this game.
Zen Pinball 3D is probably the best virtual pinball experience I have ever had. Does a great job at making it feel like a real- pinball machine whilst taking advantage of the fact that it's not, by putting in things that a real pinball machine won't be able to do. Probably makes better use of the 3D effect than any other game I've played.
Also, VVVVVV, Street Fighter IV, Dead or Alive, Mighty Switch Force, N64 remakes, and the slew of classic-type DS games.

Then there's the "new" games; SM3DL, despite its name, seems to have level designs that are 3D-ified SMB3 levels. Paper Mario 3DS seems to be a return to N64/GC form. If Luigi's Mansion 2 isn't fanservice, I don't know what is. MK7 brought back coins. The list goes on.

If the batter is such a big issue i suggest you get the nyko power pack

The reason i am suggestion this one rather than the other battery add on is that it stays true to the original form of the 3DS with miminal bulk.
While it looks great on the 3DS it also adds extra comfort for your hands and double the battery power.

Do so before February (not sure of date) so that you can download the free copy of Legend of Zelda: Four Swords (GBA) which implements a new 1-player mode or you can go online to play with others.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I have heard good things about the downloadable games for the 3DS. It was something I considered when I made my purchase, but I never owned a DS. I couldn't justify purchasing a DS along with the 3DS. So far it hasn't bothered me.Satoshi_Matrix wrote:too bad DS games look TERRIBLE on the 3DS. Seriously do a comparison to any model DS playing a DS game and then the same game on the 3DS. It'll have a weird graphical filter and just look bad.
That of course says nothing to the awful placement of the dpad and that the circle pad doesn't work flawlessly as a replacement for a dpad. I love Retro Game Challenge and its superior Japanese sequel Game Center CX 2, but when I want to play them, I'll bust out the XL or the even the Lite before I'd even consider playing them on the 3DS. That blurry filter ruins everything.

Ignorance is bliss. The DSi XL is a much nicer peice of hardware than the 3DS is. Yes, the 3DS is omg three-dee and has that lovely circle pad, but in every other aspect the DSi XL bests it. Bigger and nicer stylus, bigger screens, better battery life, better game library and still able to run (most) flashcarts.
