This is more or less the point I was trying to make, extrapolated a few degrees. I don't see the point in arguing that stuff isn't cheap enough for you when by default you waste your money on overpriced ebay listings.
Usually sellers on Ebay have enough "stock" that I can find several games I seek for one combined shipping cost, saving me even more time and money.
Compare this to a direct trade/purchase on a forum, which is often fruitless in finding the game I want in the first place. Then if I do, I have to go back and forth, sometimes with days between hearing a response, negotiating terms and clarifying the condition of the item, since there is often a lack of distinct photos.
Ebay is kind of like a superstore. I see nothing wrong with paying "retail" (in this case, market value) for the convenience offered, just as there is nothing wrong with someone shopping at the mall for clothes compared to browsing garage sales.

Re: The Nintendo Cartridge Market in General
I've been looking around at thrift stores and pawn shops for good deals. I had a pretty ok find awhile back 3 good games for $8 total at a pawn shop, but in my area there's almost nobody going to pawn those off. I check craigslist too, sometimes I find lots with a duplicate that could cover the cost of the entire thing, like a SNES I bought that had Castlevania IV, Super Mario All Stars + World, a system and some other stuff I didn't have.
SCIV and the system were duplicates for me and completely covered the $30 I paid for it all.
If you're curious the pawn shop find was Killer Instinct for $3, Star Fox for $2, and X-Men Mutant Apocalypse for $3.
I can't wait for garage sale season, I didn't make it to many last year and came up dry when I did.
