Well they do, just not as much. I meant mature in aged, not as in maturity level. They are fairly mature. The issue is that there are only like 40 people who post there regularly; zing, crux, and myself included (in a forum that is not their offtopic forum). With enough time and dedication, VGG could become another Gamefaqs, but with more adults posting. The last thing they need is an influx from LUE or 4chan...

I'm refering to the tendency to be passive-aggreisve that poisons many BGG conversations.

I frequented one forum back in high school. There was some major drama and most of the regulars moved over to a second forum. Then that community dwindled down to about 10 people making a massive number of inside jokes which meant that no one would come (the lack of front page content didn't help). Eventually the domain expired and got stolen or something and we all went our separate ways (even though we all kept in touch on IM). I was forumless for a few years until I stumbled upon Racket. I'd probably go forumless again.
