I always get sad when you run into those types. I was always a Nintendo kid, but I loved playing Genesis games at various friend's houses.

So the real reason I posted this, other than it's Sonic, was to ask if any other video game character has been used to promote big companies.
I guess I should have posed it as a direct question in the OP, but other than cereals, and other food products, what other video game characters have sponsored big companies (i.e. insurance etc)?
