Looking online, there seems to be several options for a transportable case for storing ones gameboy (or any other applicable handheld system).
What does everyone use to store their handhelds? Or use for transport?
Best Gameboy Storage?

Storage case? I got this back in the day for the original Game Boy, it was called the Game Keeper by Vic TokaiThe Nihilist wrote:Looking online, there seems to be several options for a transportable case for storing ones gameboy (or any other applicable handheld system).

Check out that link for good pictures -- I can't link to them here, but it carried your Game Boy (or Game Boy Color), all wires, games, the rechargeable battery pack, and the separate Vic Tokai Light Boy. Plus, it was a hard shell case, so it protected everything nice.

I like the hard-shell style cases like these.

I know this is about protecting the Game Boy itself, but since the subject is similar, I thought I point out a cheap and easy way I found to store and display original Game Boy and Gameboy Color games:
I use a binder and 6-pocket long card pages, seen here:

They fit quite nicely, it protects them from the elements, and you can flip through your game collection pretty easily, it's cheap, plus easy storage.

My GBA fits in a plastic pencil case with a few games. Not the best since everything is loose, but it does work OK and is fairly compact.

The one I have right now is this:
it's the picture on the far left.
It's all right, but doesn't provide much protection for the gameboy itself. That and it doesn't like holding games with the storage case (as you can hold somewhere around 5-8 games).
Thought about getting a Pelican case but wasn';t sure if there is a cheaper alternative than going overboard with what is used to store 9MM pistols

^ I like those too. Another one, the "BCW Pro-4T" works great for storing loose GB booklets.BurningDoom wrote:I know this is about protecting the Game Boy itself, but since the subject is similar, I thought I point out a cheap and easy way I found to store and display original Game Boy and Gameboy Color games:

I try to get the plastic hard cases when I can. I'm still kicking myself to this day about passing on a bid for about 20 of them for a very decent price.

I own both of those cases but my gameboy shaped one is missing the insert tray( the piece with the game slots that is holding the light boy), that case is big enough to hold multiple game boys and quite a lot of games.Jontendo wrote:I like the hard-shell style cases like these.
