I already posted that one of mine was Little Samson but what I want to know does anyone else tend to watch the completed listings on ebay to see how the price changes? When I got Little Samson it was averaging out about $120 but the past 5 to sell on ebay have been $200. I guess alot of people got money for Christmas.

I check on the Power Strike games and Zanac x Zanac every now and then to see what prices are doing.

It's more listing errors and having at least (2) people very interested in a title at a given time, than market fluctuation, in most cases.

I recall about 6 months ago, some guy had put up a load of SAT-US games. His copy of Saturn Bomberman went for $200+, his PDS for $300+, and Guardian Heroes for $100+. He had done things right, spelled everything right, listed multiple items in the same genre that would attract multiple buyers to his multiple items, and took very attractive photos - creating a nice market for himself. I recall a thread on here asking if Bomberman was really $200 now!? And of course, the next copy went for $110, and then the next for $75 or something, and it went back to normal.

But, the big thing is some people don't check buy now's - at all, they assume that most buy now's are very high (which is the case a great majority of the time) - but occasionally, they'll get caught up in an auction and again, it only takes one other very motivated buyer to drive it sky high.

Example: A, B, and C all want Little Samson.

A bids - $198
B bids - $90
C bids - $205

It sells for $200.50 ($2.50 more than the next highest bid - I think it's $2.50 after $100 anyways).

Same situation, but A only bids $100. Now, everything is the same, except one person decided to bid a less, now the sale price is $102.50, even though one guy was prepared to pay $205.

^I know this is understood by the majority of us, but some folks do not know this - and thus they see an anomoly and think the market has swung drastically. I'm not citing Little Samson for sure, since I haven't followed it much. But a check shows it has sold for over $200 a 4 times, and it has gone unsold at $99 and $119 on buy now option twice. Currently, there are 4 auctions all under $150 - looks like some guys saw the high sales and decided to unload - they better hope there are at least 5 interested parties - or we'll see one or two go for well under that $200 mark, imo.

I know Little Samson sells for under 200 bucks a lot. It rarely goes over 150. My point was not that one or two recent ones sold for over 200 while others with it sold for 100. The last 5 sell sold for over $200 with no others going for cheaper. I just find it funny. I know how the market goes up and down and all that jazz but it is usually in the situation that you described. But this one makes me laugh because it was 5 of a rarer game with no other smaller priced ones and it was all bids not buy it now. Just a nice freak incident that i noticed because of my wanting to check up on prices of games I have.

Also that is good info people should know and we do appreciate when people like you give it out to us. I know I personally have learned a lot from people here and I just want to take this time to thank you and everyone else who takes the time to do that. So thank you!

Going off of ye locale game peddlers, I'd say:

SNES:
Earthbound (that's a given)
Final Fantasy 3
Chrono Trigger
Secret Of Evermore
Captain Novolin
Gradius 3

GBC:
Pokemon TCG 2

However, I am in the process of hunting down a Shantae cart

Yeah, after I bought House of the Dead (Saturn US version, CIB and looking spiffy) for $35 on Amazon, I always check ebay prices, like once a week if I think about it. Usually it's no less than $60 and often much more expensive than that and sometimes there aren't even any listings for it except the JP version.

Value wise at the moment I guess Lunar and Lunar II for Sega CD. I've never really owned any games that were over about $120 in my collection. Thats not counting arcade PCBs though, which I had I would buy for three times that much.
