I've had all of those. It was very interesting seeing what effect the hops had. Very useful for brewers and enthusiasts, I can recognise quite a few widespread varieties in beer, and can usually deconstruct a beer to it's core ingredients with reasonable accuracy.
We have all 19 bottles at my bar. The hilarious thing is the vast majority of people tend to buy the Citra, Cascade, Centennial, Simcoe and Sorachi Ace ones... 80% of IPAs will have quite a few of those hops in anyway, why don't they pick the unusual ones? Galena is an awesome, well balanced (it's basically a high alpha version of Brewers Gold) hop but I don't think I've sold a single one...

If you're drinking to get drunk or partying, then yeah it kinda is. After a few taste goes out the window. I certainly am not going to pay $12 a 6 pack for something just to be trendy if there's a party going on. Because the next day your money and the beer will both be gone. I don't just drink A beer for taste here and there like some, I'll take a water with my food, lol.KDub wrote:So very wronga beer is a beer

if you're absolutely flat broke, scrape up some change from under the couch and go pay $2.69 for a 4 pack of 16 oz. Steel Reserve. The stuff is rot gut but it's 8.1% alcohol per volume. After the first couple you won't know what you're drinking anymore.
Other than that the best economical party pack I can suggest is a 12 pack of Milwaukee's Best for $7. Just make sure it's really, really cold and drink up.

The Beast! He's got a cousin called The Beast "Ice" that packs quite a punch. Bet ya can't drink a entire 12 pack. I can never make it past 8 or 9 before I turn to water in a futile attempt to re-hydrate. The headache is unreal.BoringSupreez wrote:Milwaukee's Best is all my parents drink anymore, because of the price.jvalentine98 wrote:Other than that the best economical party pack I can suggest is a 12 pack of Milwaukee's Best for $7. I may have mentioned this before, but I've got a friend we call "Pringles" (who was actually over at my house last night) because once he pops...jvalentine98 wrote:funny, I can never have just 1.
Speaking of last night, had friends over for drinks and festivities. I started with Yuengling, then moved on to Bulleit Whiskey, straight. Bulleit is pretty damn good whiskey for the price. I prefer it over Knob Creek for sure, and is a smooth whiskey for something the $30 price range. Had a few glasses, no hangover whatsoever.
And how about this for you party animals: Uno.
Shit you not, we played Uno until at least 1am. There's nothing quite like a group of friends that can make just about anything a complete blast.

Btw, the Zywiec I've been drinking has 9% ABV (twice as much as Bud Light) and each bottle contains 1 pint .9 oz, more than a regular bottle of beer. So while each bottle only costs me $2 (or $1.50 when certain cashiers are there), which comes out to $12 for a six-pack, there's far more both beer and alcohol, meaning that I'm really only paying $12 for a case.jvalentine98 wrote:If you're drinking to get drunk or partying, then yeah it kinda is. So yeah, I think I come out way ahead of that "watery beer" you're drinking in addition to having a great taste.
