Looking to make a trade for one of these, and was wondering if I could get some opinions on which one would be better? I understand the Micro doesn not play GB/GBC games (which might be the deal breaker for me) but is the brighter more vivid screen, plus the better form factor worth it?
Let me know your thoughts guys! Thanks.

If you get the AGS-101 model of the SP, it's got a better screen than the Micro. It's backlit, like the DS Lite.jay_red wrote:Looking to make a trade for one of these, and was wondering if I could get some opinions on which one would be better? Re: GBA sp vs. Micro
Can't the micro not play regular Gameboy games? That would be a big seller for me. Even without that feature, I think I would still choose the sp, as it just fits my hands better.

GB Micro plays nothing except GBA games, no exceptions. SP can play GB, GBC, and GBA games. I think the SP is the better model, hands down. Only advantage the Micro has over the SP is a built-in headphone jack (but you can buy an adapter for the SP).dunpeal2064 wrote:Can't the micro not play regular Gameboy games? And the clamshell design of the SP means that scratches won't be as big a deal as they are on the Micro.vlame wrote:don't forget you WILL NEVER FIND GBA MICRO FACE PLATES at a decent price.

Re: GBA sp vs. Micro
I have both but I still love my micro due to the form factor. It's definitely easier to carry around. The only drawback is that your hands can cramp up after awhile.

while I didn't hate my GBA micro I would have enjoyed it much more if I were 8 and didn't have big man hands....

I use my micro as a backup for playing GBA games when I carry my 3ds around.

Re: GBA sp vs. Micro
So I ended up making a deal for both of them, so I get the best of both worlds. I have wanted a Micro for a while, just not been actively looking for one, especially since they seem to command a bit of a high price.
What kind of homebrew does the GBA offer? I know there are flash carts for it, but can they do emulators? does the micro support them?
